The Tate House Museum seeks to connect visitors with the area's colonial roots by presenting an authentic piece of the state's rich colonial history. Built for Captain George Tate in 1755, the house stands as it was in the 18th century, with authentic artifacts and materials still intact. The house is located adjacent to Highway 22, just North of the Portland International Jetport.
